This tour operates seasonally (April to June and September to November) and offers a rare opportunity to connect with Japan’s rich fishing and culinary traditions.

    Meet your guide at the Kotsubo Port in Hirokotsubo, Kure City.
    *Please buy lunch before the tour starts. There is a convenience store near Hiro Station.

    9:30 a.m.

    Start the fishing tour with Captain Yamamoto aboard the Shuhomaru.
    *Before departure, you will receive a safety briefing and pre-trip orientation.

  • 3

    2:00 p.m.

    Return to Kotsubo Port.
    *If no fish are caught, the captain will have pre-stocked fish in the live tank, which the chef will use to prepare your meal.

    2:15 p.m.

    At Kotsubo Port, observe a skilled chef from Restaurant Takahashi dispatch and fillet the fish for maximum freshness.

  • 5

    3:00 p.m.

    Take a break for a shower, change of clothes, and relaxation at a nearby traditional house within walking distance.
    *Seasonally, you can also enjoy observing wakame seaweed harvesting, sea urchin farming, and even feeding the sea urchins.

    5:00 p.m.

    Transport to Takahashi by taxi.

    5:30 p.m.

    Enjoy the ultimate gastronomic dinner at Takahashi, where you can savor the fish you caught, paired with premium ginjo sake.
