Traveled the world as a backpacker, and now a cram school teacher

I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and I am a third-generation survivor of the atomic bombing as my grandmother was exposed to radiation. I studied Western history at a university in Tokyo, having a keen interest in history, politics, and economics. At the age of 25, I quit my job to backpack around the world for a year, during which I visited various countries, saw numerous landmarks, tasted diverse cuisines, drank various kinds of liquor, and met people from all walks of life. I still love traveling to this day. Through these travels, I realized that I have a knack for connecting with children, which led me to my current job as a cram school teacher in Hiroshima. I teach mathematics, Japanese, English, and social studies about Japan. I look forward to sharing the history and attractions of Hiroshima with travelers, and I hope they will enjoy our local cuisine and sake.
