The Hiroshima Interpreter and Guide Association (HIGA) is a non-profit organization made up of those who have passed the National Licensed Guide Interpreter Examination. Established in 1992, in preparation for the 12th Hiroshima Asian Games, with the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Hiroshima Prefecture, Hiroshima City, and various tourism-related organizations in order to respond to the internationalization of Hiroshima. We are a group of talented people with various backgrounds, including professional interpreter guides, conference interpreters, translators, advisors, and lecturers who are active on the front lines. We hope to meet the needs of guide interpreters, interpreters, and translators, and help promote international exchange in the region.
