HIROSHIMA ORIZURU TOWER opened to the public in 2016 on the east side of the Atomic Bomb Dome with a rooftop observation deck. We, HIROSHIMA MAZDA, who operate HIROSHIMA ORIZURU TOWER, were founded in 1933 in Sarugaku-cho, which was located in the area around today’s Atomic Bomb Dome. However, due to the atomic bombing in 1945, all our employees passed away and the company building collapsed. Along with the reconstruction of Hiroshima, we were able to grow to this day. HIROSHIMA ORIZURU TOWER is designed to paint a picture of “mankind’s strength” to overcome countless trails, and above all, a “future filled with kindness” in the heart of everyone. Now, over 75 years after the war, it is a beacon that shares not only a unique “sorrow”, but also a powerful sense of “hope” that can only be conveyed by those who have lived in Hiroshima, which has undergone such an inspiring revival.
